Once the Nebraska Kansas Transition Team articulated their vision and began building a plan of organization for the new United Methodist Conference, it was time to work on a logo to represent this concept for communications leading up to the vote on the plan in August 2013.
My role was to meet with the designer and define the concept so a visual representation could be created. The designer presented four concepts, which were presented to leadership. The final design, below, includes a globe with three different colored arrows representing great leaders, great disciples and great churches.
The logo design was created to be used in a vertical stacked format or a horizontal format, offering versatility in placement within documents, on websites and in presentations.
The logos were used to identify communications related to the draft Plan of Organization and for packaging presentations, videos and webcasts with information about the draft plan.
